Overview
The
Louisville Pelvic Floor Research Group (LPFRG) conducts research studies in
conjunction with urogynecological services involving patients throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
LPFRG is a not-for-profit organization of physicians with affiliations at
Norton Healthcare facilities, Jewish Hospital, and Baptist Hospital East.
Our
Continence Center, located on-site with our clinical practice offices, provides urodynamic and anorectal physiological testing for
women with pelvic floor disorders such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and
anal incontinence, and constipation.
The
LPFRG Research Center is headed by two fellowship-trained urogynecologists with
extensive experience in both basic science and clinical research.
Our full time urogynecological-specific research nurse coordinates all of
the activities at the center. In
addition, we have a fellowship program to train physicians in clinical care and
research. Each of these physician fellows completes a Masters of Science program in clinical investigative sciences
during their fellowship program.
Our
Center is dedicated to finding ways to improve the quality of life for women
through both our clinical and research activities.
